I haven't been able to get much painting time in this week but the good news is that I have finished a cheeky chappie who has been sitting on my desk for months. My apologies for the wee photos.

The Dwarf Flasher.

Until next time.

The last lot of Imperial Dwarfs are done, which completes my 4 units. I've been itching to get these done, especially the eye-patch drummer.

Now that these are out of the way I'm going back to some Marauder Clansmen.

I managed to finish off my unit of Dwarf Armoured Knights last night. You can get these lovely sculpts from White Knight's Miniature Emporium (link at the side of the page.)

They were originally part of a unit painting challenge over at Bugman's Brewery and I only completed ten in the allotted time frame however, I always planned on doing a unit of fourteen.

Anyway, here they are...

Getting the last four done is a great warm up for starting the Knights of the Great Bear but I'm still unsure on a colour scheme for the fur.

Cheers,

DB

New Page under construction. Once complete I'll add a new tab at the top of the page.

Slayers (part 1).

Although Citadel Miniatures released a few similar sculpts to slayers, they were in fact dwarf berserkers. The first ever dwarf slayers were actually troll slayers released by Marauder Miniatures.

They first 5 made an appearance in White Dwarf issue 121 in 1990.

They were quickly followed by another 5 first seen in White Dwarf issue 124..

In section 3  of the Citadel catalogue (coloured green) published in 1993, all 10 appeared together.

Then for some reason in section 4 of the Citadel catalogue (coloured black) published in 1994 you will notice that the slayer in the middle of the top row now has a closed fist.

There were also some new troll slayers in the black catalogue..

an introduction to giant slayers, dragon slayers and daemon slayers.

The first ever slayer characters, King Ungrim Ironfist..

...and of course Gotrek.
